C r a n k chambers; driving - gear ; engine construction independent of cycle. - In a multi-cylinder engine with downwardly radiating cylinders the crank shaft B projects from the one piece crank case into a casing G, containing a propeller shaft J driven from the crank shaft by gearing H, K. The propeller shaft is parallel to the crank shaft but on the side remote from the cylinders.
