Wave energy, utilizing.-Means for utilizing the energy of sea waves comprises a float provided with a track for weighted wagons a, Fig. 1, connected by beams a<1> and having nuts e engaging right- and lefthanded screw-threaded portions of a shaft b, each nut being provided with spring-pressed pawls 39, Fig. 8, co-operating with ratchet teeth on a bush 34 carried by its wagon. Similar freewheel mechanism is provided between the shaft b and its fly-wheel.
