Abstract

213,488. Lombardi, M. July 19, 1923. Valves fitted with independently actuated supplementary valces.-A screw-down valve is provided with an additional regulating sleeve which may be separately set to determine the maximum flow and which is provided with a triple screw thread to receive the screwed spindle. The valve body is threaded at 2 for connection to a hot water or steam conduit, at 3 for connection to a radiator, and at 4 to receive a cap 13. The supplementary closure member 8, Fig. 9, is provided with a triple screw thread 10, and has its lower part 9 cut away at an angle. The main valve 11 is conical, and its stem 20, Fig. 6, is oval to allow accurate seating. The member 8 is secured by a cap 13, and is provided with a stuffing-box 14.
