Fig. 3, is riveted to or integral with aT-section ring 14 which is bevelled on the underside of one flange, as shown at 20 to engage the bevelled edge of an upstanding flange, disc or equivalent to the face of which the web of the ring 14 is secured by bolts 24 and nuts 25 having bevelled ends 27 engaging countersunk holes in the ring. The bolts 24 may be tapered. Fig. 3 shows the attachment of the rim to the edge of a disc 13. Fig. 4 shows the application to a twin-tyred wheel. A channel ring 29 is secured to or integral with a T-section ring 14<a> secured permanently to the disc body 13 of the wheel by rivets or by any suitable means such as described in Specification 176,422, [Class 144 (i), Wheels for vehicles]. The detachable rims 16, 16<a> are secured respectively to the upstanding flanges 30, 31 of the ring by the webs 32 and, in order to permit withdrawal of the inner rim, the corresponding web 32 and the outer flange 31 are cut away so as to allow one to pass through the other. Fig. 8 shows the application to a spoke wheel in which the upstanding flange 40, either annular or in the form of lugs, is carried by a ring 39 attached by any suitable means to the spoke ends. The rim flange 18, Fig. 4, may be secured to the rim by a screw thread of square section, being locked by a set-screw 33.
