Detachable-rim attachments to wheels; tyre attachments to rims. - A detachable rim A is clamped against the offset flange B<2> of the fixed rim B by bolts C and coned nuts D engaging clamps E riveted to the rim A. The latter is formed with a rib A<1> adapted to be adjacent to, but out of contact with, the edge B<4> of the outer flange B<3> of the fixed rim when the parts are assembled, as shown in Fig. 4. The rim A may be transversely-split, and, as 'shown in Fig. 5, the joint 119 may be bridged by a plate 118 riveted to one end of the rim and apertured to receive a stud 123 on the other end of the rim. The plate 118 is formed with a flange 120 adapted to fit over one of the bolts C. Specifications 182,152 and 102,215 are referred to.
