Abstract

247,285. Abram, E. S. Nov. 12, 1924. Detachable-rim attachments to wheels. - A detachable channel-section rim 1 has projecting beads 3 formed on its inner surface and extending round the rim. Circumferential ribs 4 on the beads 3 are gripped in grooves formed in a fixed flange 5 and a detachable flange 6 of the wheel felloe 7 when the flange 6 is secured in position by bolts 9. The bolts pass through lugs 12 formed on the felloa 7 and, to prevent turning, have squared ends fitting holes in the flange 5. To prevent creeping of the rim 1, spaced lugs 19 on the rim engage the bolts 9.
