Abstract

212,449. Nielsen, A. April 25, 1923. Wire resistances, mounted on grooved surfaces. -An electric hot-plate comprises a support E of insulating-material, a bare heating wire or wires B arranged in parallel rows, spirally, or concentrically on its upper surface, and a cover plate F having slots or openings G so arranged that the wire is covered by the full parts of the plate. The support E is provided with a series of grooves I arranged between the heating wires. The grooves may be provided with a series of apertures A which allow any liquid spilt on the support to pass to a removable tray.
