Abstract

Aug. 4, 1921 Covers.-An electric heater for heating cooking utensils and the like comprises a supporting structure 2, a reflector 10 mounted thereon, a perforated plate or grid for supporting the cooking-utensil disposed upon the reflector and covering it, and an electrically heated air conduit 6 mounted upon the supporting structure and protruding into the reflector so that air passes through the conduit and into the space surrounded by the reflector. The air conduit comprises a porcelain cylinder 6 carrying the resistance wire 5 and mounted between plates 3<1>, 4<1> carried by bolts 3, 4 which are mounted on the support 2 and serve as terminal posts. The grid for supporting the cooking utensil consists of three concentric plates 14 having perforations 15 and ribs 16. The heater may be constructed from sheared and stamped plates.
