UNITED STATES AMLETO SELVATICO,
OF MILAN, ITALY.
ELECTRIC STOVE.
Application filed` August 13,
To all whom 25 may concern.'
Be it known that I, AMLE'ro SnLvA'rioo, subject of the King of Italy, and resident of Milan, Italy, have invented certainnew and useful Improvements in Electric Stoves (for which I filed an application in Italy, July 20, .1920), of which the following is a specification.
The present invention relates to an electric. stove, wherein a current of air is caused to circulate internally and around the heating element, said current being conducted by mea-ns both of a central column and of relection against either the grate or the upper oven plate designed to support the object t0 be heated, so as to obtain a maXi-'/ mum utilization of the generated heat.
A form of the invention is illustrated in the accompanyingdrawing, in which:
Fig. 1 is a vertical section of the stove, and l Fig. 2 is a plan vie of the same.
Referring to t ot the stove suppor w, partially in section,
he drawing, 1 is the base t, from which the uprights 2 extend, said base being provided with the rods 3 and 4, upon which, by means ot yplates 3 and 4', ahollow cylinder 6 either ot porcelain or of any other suitable ma-A terial is mounted, which cylinder is provided with the washer 6 and covered with a winding yotwire 5, said wire being connected to terminals 7 and 8 by means of said metallic rods 3 and 4 and of the conductors 7 and 8.
The uprights 2 are adapted to support a substantially bowl shaped reflector 10 having an open bottom 12 designed to rest on the washer 6', and an open top stepped as indicated at 11 and 13. The upper step or shoulder 13 servesv to support a plurality of concentric rings 14, or their equivalent,
(ascertained the natureko 1921. Serial No. 492,072.
upon which the article to be heated may be placed. Therings are preferably provided with openings 15 for the passage of air, and with ribs 16 to facilitate circulation of air under the receptacle or other article resting on the rings 14.
In operation, cold air enters the cylinder 6 through its lower open end, 'is heated in the cylinder and then flows through the top of the cylinder into the reflector 10 wherein f it is further heated, and nally flows upwardly against the rings 14 and around the receptacle resting thereon, effectively heatmg such receptacle and its contents if there be any. 7 Havi ularly described and f my invention and in what manner the same'is to be performed, what I claim is: i
1. In a device of the character described, the combination with a supporting structure including a supporting member, of a reiector having an open upper end and an ng'on said supporting it carried by said sup-. projecting into said for heatingl `said air ng now partic open lower end resti member, an air condu porting member and reflector, and means conduit..
' 2. In a device of the character described, the combination with a supporting structure including a supporting member, of a cylinder of heat resistant material carried by said supporting member, a reector completely enclosing said cylinder and having an open lower end resting on said supporting member, a resistance coil about said cylinder, and `means for conducting electric current to said coil.
Signed. at Milan, Italy, VII A. D. 1921.
