Abstract

211,127. Grare, H. Feb. 12, 1923, [Convention date]. Cooling water and lubricant by direct contact with cooling medium.-The cooling-liquid of an internal-combustion engine is cooled by forcing air through it. A tank c having a reservoir i is connected to pipes d, e of the liquid-circulating system, and air, compressed by a pump b, is forced through a rose g and out through slits h which are arranged to intercept and return Liquid particles. A regulating tap is provided in the air pipe. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the use of the apparatus for cooling the lubricating oil. The pump may be replaced by a ventilator. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 165,556.
