Abstract

210,928. Brooks & Co., Ltd., J. B., and Horden, H. R. Dec. 12, 1922. Hasp fastenings.-A fastening suitable for securing a trunk 9 to a luggage grid 7 and for like purposes comprises a rotatable member 1 with operating arm 8 mounted in the end 2 of a link member 3 which is pivoted to the grid by an adjustable hook 5. The member 1 has an eccentric recess 13 taking over a projection 11 on the trunk when the arm 8 is in its highest position. Swinging of the arm 8 to the position shown brings the recess 13 to its lowest position and consequently draws the trunk and grid together. The member 1 may be locked by a plunger 17 entering a slot 18 and pressed out of engagement therewith by a pin 19 operated by a key-rotated member 20. A screw 14 limits the rotation of the member 1. In a modification, the projection 11 may be on the member 1 and the recess 13 in the trunk 9.
