Abstract

195,401. La Point, F., and Thurm, F. H. March 25, 1922, [Convention date]. Stud-and-slot fastenings.-A clamping-device for holding in position detachable shafts of tables &c. consists of a recessed shaft 10 mounted between flanges 4 depending from a table plate 3 and normally engaging below a lug 9 in a cap 7 secured to the pedestal 1. A rib 6 of the cap 7 parallel with the shaft 10 normally engages a corresponding slot in the plate 3. On turning the. shaft 10 the parts 1, 2 can be separated. Fig. 1 shows a similar device applied to a detachable leg 17. The shaft 10 has a lever arm 12 attached to it which is normally engaged by a spring hook bolt 13.
