Stud - and - socket fastenings; catches, spring.-A press - button catch for fastening the lids of boxes and the like comprises a spring - pressed cylindrical plunger a having an annular groove g so shaped that when the plunger is pushed in, a stud j secured to the lid n is pushed out of the groove g. A bevelled shoulder f on the plunger presses the head of the stud farther out of engagement on the return stroke of the released plunger.
