Abstract

208,084. Kanegafuchi Boseki Kabushiki Kwaisha. Dec. 14, 1922, [Convention date]. Reeling-machines. - Cocoons with their filaments loosened are fed to the filament supplier of silk-reeling machines 'by means of a conveyer comprising an endless chain provided with buckets. The ends of the filaments are attached to a hook, and the cocoons are placed by hand in the buckets, which contain a supply of water, scooped from the basin 1, to prevent solidification of the sericine and deliver them to a conduit 17 arranged above the reeling-basin 2. Heating pipes 20 are arranged inside the conveyer, which is advanced the distance between successive buckets by a pawl 9 operated by links and levers 12, 14 and a push-rod 15. As the cocoon falls into the basin the filament, still held by the hook, is caught by the supplier 3.
