Abstract
In the method of producing staple fibre described in the parent Specification, wherein bundles of filaments from the nozzles of spinning-machines are conveyed along a wash trough through which water flows to after-treatment plant in which the combined bundles are treated in the form of a fibre rope and then conveyed to a cutting-machine and to the customary further treatment machines, the bundles are fed from one bath-cell to another by means of a reel m having supporting means in the form of a number of isolated laths so <PICT:0476939/IV/1> <PICT:0476939/IV/2> that each effects an oscillation of the bundle. As shown in Fig. 3, three laths d, e, f may be at different radial instances from the axis of reel. The reel may be inclined to the cells n, Fig. 5, to facilitate conveyance.
