Abstract
207,943. Murray, T. B., and Albion Motor Car Co., Ltd. Oct. 13, 1922. Clutches, friction.-A clutch-operating muff R, for a motor vehicle, actuated by a pedal W through levers S is mounted between the flywheel I and the engine casing V, the pedal shaft T being mounted on the engine casing or bearers. The clutch-disc A is engaged by friction rings F, G respectively carried by a casing H on the fly wheel and a number of push-rods K passing through the flywheel. The push-rods K are operated to disengage the clutch by levers L pivoted on the flywheel I and engaging the muff R at their inner ends. In a modification the pushrods K may be engaged by the muff R and may engage the inner ends of the levers L which are pivoted on the outer side of the flywheel, their outer ends carrying the friction ring G.
