Abstract

203,693. Norske Molybdenprodukter Aktieselskabet. March 26, 1921, [Convention date]. Alloys.-Molybdenum alloys free from iron or containing only a small proportion thereof contain silicon, or ferro-nickel, or ferro-cobalt, either separately or in combination, with or without some chromium. Tungsten, uranium, vanadium, niobium or tantalum may be added to increase the tenacity, and carbon, zirconium, titanium, boron, or phosphorus to increase the hardness. Titanium, boron and phosphorus may also serve as deoxidizing agents during melting. Alloys containing specified proportions of certain of these elements are described.
