Limbs, artificial.- The vertically rotatable joint of the artificial leg described in the parent Specification is attached to a stirrup s which is connected to the bucket a by joints k which may be of the kind described in Specification 120,366. A rod b is attached to the joint, d and to a bearer e by a joint h which allows for the, forward and backward movement of the leg. The bearer e is secured to the pelvic band c. In a modification the stirrup s is pivoted to the band c and the bearer e is pivoted to the stirrup by a vertically rotatable joint, the rod b being fixed rigidly to the bucket a. In a further modification the bearer e and band c are connected by the vertically rotatable joint, the rod b being connected to the stirrup s which is pivoted to the bucket. In another modification the bearer e is fixed to the stirrup s which is pivoted to the band c, the vertically rotatable joint d being fixed to the bucket a.
