Gripping devices.-A combined dumb-bell and spring-grip comprises a pair of hand grips 1, 2 having a substantially U-shaped rod 17 passing the ends of the grips, the parallel ends of the rod being screw-threaded and engaging adjusting nuts 7, 8 carried by the ends of one grip 2. A coiled tension spring 19 is mounted on the rod 17 and has its ends anchored to the ends of the other grip 1, screw-threaded thimbles 15 being used to secure the ends of the spring.
