Reachers and long-arms.-A device for gathering fruit comprises a pair of wire jaws A pivoted on a pin D fixed in a tube C secured at the end of a long rod; a tube E slides on the tube C and carries a pin I which engages between the jaws and presses them apart when the tube E is pulled downwards by a cord K. A spring G tends to force the tube E upwards and to close the jaws on the fruit.
