195,479. Bullivant, F. A., and Selby, G. M. Jan. 23, 1922. Rope grips.-A grip for ropes, rods &c., comprises a pair of arms A, B, each having two gripping jaws a<1>, a<2> and b<1>, b<2> respectively, so that when the arms. are pulled by chains C, D they turn about a virtual centre situated in the axis of the rope E and between the two pairs of jaws, thus gripping the rope. The arms are not fastened together but interlocking projections keep them in the correct position relatively to each other and to the rope.
