Abstract
202,086. Broady, W. May 25, 1922. Bracket lamps; electric-lamp lanterns and casings.-In electric incandescent and like lamp fittings of the kind having two flanged discs between which is secured a glass cylinder which encloses one or more lamps supported from the upper disc, and having a water-tight chamber to take the leads the lower disc J is rotatably secured to a spindle H provided with a hand-wheel h and screwing in the outer end of a swivel arm F on the main fitting A, so as to permit of fitting and removal of the glass cylinder C. The upper end of the main fitting A has a hollow enlargement B, with a circular flanged bottom b to take the upper end of the glass cylinder C, and passages b<1>, b<2> provided with gland nuts b<3>, b<4> carry the leads into the interior, where a bridge-piece D supported from lugs b<5>, b<6> holds the lamp socket c. Rubber or like washers b<7>, j<1> are provided between the discs and the glass cylinder C. The main fitting A is provided with apertured or slotted ears a<1> for enabling it to be bolted or otherwise secured in position.
