Abstract
200,695. Parker, Winder, & Achurch, Ltd., and Wood, J. A. July 8, 1922. Fan - light, roof - light, and pivoted - window opening and closing apparatus. - Means for operating fanlight and like pivoted windows comprise an arm 3 pivoted to the window frame and slotted in order to act as guide for a block 6 carried by the window 4, and the ends of an operating cord 8 are secured to a cranked extension 7 of the block, the arrangement being such that when the window is closed the arm 3 moves into a substantially vertical position. A pull on the cord raises the guide arm 3 so as to permit the block to slide. The block is pivotally mounted on a bracket 5 carried by the window and in the closed position the pivots of the guide arm and block are in horizontal alignment.
