Abstract

198,263. Spencer, Moulton, & Co., Ltd., G., and Hine, C. W. C. Aug. 2, 1922. Combined buffer and draw-gear.-A joint for connecting the draw-bar of a railway or like vehicle to a coupling head, or to a bar that carries a coupling head, comprises a cylindrical member 3 mounted to rock in a socket 6 provided in the end of the bar 2 and a pin 4, carried by the cylindrical member 5 and perpendicular to the axis of the latter, on which is mounted an eye 3 formed in the end of the bar 1. The cylindrical member 5 may be formed in halves, the meeting faces being recessed to receive the eye and the adjacent end portion of the member 1.
