Combined buffer and draw-gear.-In a combined buffer and draw-gear, a coupler shank 2 is pivotally connected by a pin 6 to a hooded yoke 1. and a key 5 intersects the pin 6, the coupler shank and yoke being provided with means adapted to resist buffing movement while permitting the pivotal movement of the yoke and coupler. The end of the shank 2 is bifurcated to allow the key 5, which is secured to two sides of the yoke, to pass through, and segmental bearing surfaces 8, 9, 16 on the coupler shank, atruck from the axis of the pin as centre, contact with similar bearing surfaces 13, 11 on the swivel block 4, and 15 on the yoke respectively. The block 4 is secured by the pin 6 which secures the yoke and coupler shank together, and its rear end forms a follower plate against which the buffing spring bears.
