Abstract

198,184. Heys, N. April 29, 1922. Winding-machines.-In winding-machines for winding cross-wound cheeses or the like of the kind wherein a grooved cam is mounted on the centre line of the machine and transmits movement to levers or arms connected to the traverse bars, spindles d are mounted in brackets c at each side of the machine and carry loose bosses e having arms e<1>, e<2>, provided respectively with a bowl f which engages the groove of the cam, and with an extension g connected by a pin and slot with the traverse rod h. The brackets c may be adjustable and the bowl f adjustably mounted in a slot in the arm e<1>. The bosses are preferably provided with a lug e<3> adapted to cooperate with resilient buffers l, and buffers may also co-operate with the arms e<2>.
