Abstract

196,807. Brougham, F. J., (Perfect Window Regulator Co.). April 20, 1922. Sliding window opening and closing apparatus.-In window opening and closing apparatus of the kind having sprockets and an endless chain carrying a stud &c. engaging a slotted bracket on the window, the plate 3 on which the upper sprocket 4 is carried has a projection 16 thereon to engage the stud 12 when the window is raised, and thereby to prevent the stud from being forced out of the slot. A stop 17, having an adjusting screw 21, is secured to the chain and adapted to engage the projection 16 and act as a stop for the lowered position. The stop 17 has limbs with inturned ends engaging slots 9 in the links, or depressions engaging holes therein, and the limbs are secured by a screw 21 passing through registered holes in four flanges bent inwardly from the limbs. The lower sprocket 6 is carried on a plate 5 secured at the end to a cross-piece 7.
