Abstract

196,035. Larkin, F. S., and Galbraith, W. L. Jan. 9, 1922. Atmospheric gas burners; burners, mounting.-An atmospheric gas-grill burner comprises a burner tube a, provided with nozzles h, and an inner tube b, provided wnth openings g out of alignment with the nozzles h and secured in position by a set-screw k passing through a reduced end a<1> of the burner tube a. A gas nipple e is carried by a fitting d, provided with an air-inlet f or inlets, the end i of the burner tube a being joined by means of mastic cement, red lead, or other material or by screwing to an enlargement j on the end of the tube b. The burner is adapted to be rotatably mounted on bearings formed by the reduced end a<1> and a portion e<1> of the nipple. In a modification, the tube b may be provided with a row of openings at the top and bottom, and the burner tube a with a row of nozzles on each side slightly below the centre line.
