Abstract

335,256. Kempton, C. H., and Bissell, W. June 21, 1929. Atmospheric gas burners; burners, mounting.- A gas-grill burner rotatable about its longitudinal axis for directing the flames above or below the fret comprises a cylindrical member 1 cored out to form a converging inlet passage 8 communicating substantially at the middle of the member with a chamber 9 so as to effect an even distribution of gas to the burner outlets 3. The mixing-chamber 6 is secured to the member 1 by one or more pins 7 or the like. The burner is supported at one end on the gas nipple and at the other end by means of a projection 15 and is rotated by a handle 16, a stop being provided on either side of the projection 15 to limit the rotation. The member 1 may be provided with bosses 18 for co-operation with supporting bars or the like. The burner may be provided with oppositely disposed rows of burner outlets communicating with the chamber or chambers supplied by the inlet passage. The member 1 may be made in two or more parts.
