Abstract
195,631. Terraz, M. March 28, 1922, [Convention date]. Leaf holders and turners.-Each leaf is provided with an iron clip one face 11 of which is coppered or covered with other non-magnetic material. A magnetized arm 13 mounted on a vertical pivoted support 12 holds the leaf until released by the movement of a sliding plate 9 operated by lazy-tongs connected thereto by the end 7 working in a slot 8. The end 7 is also connected by a link 19 to a curved plate 17 pivoted to the end of the plate 9. When the lazy-tongs move to the extreme extended position shown in dotted lines, the plate 17 turns a leaf over. If the lazy-tongs move to the contracted position, an adjustable stop 15 on the plate 9 moves away from an arm 14 on the support 12 and allows a spring 16 to turn the arm 13 into the position 13<1>, carrying a leaf with it. The return movement of the lazy-tongs withdraws the arm 13.
