Leaf-turners.-A leafturner having a magnet carried by a turning- lever and adapted to engage with iron plates on each page of music has a three-armed turning- lever which is operated by a cord and returned to its normal position by two springs. The turning-lever is pivoted on a support a, and has three arms d, g, f, the arm d carrying an adjustable magnet e, the other arms being bifurcated. A curved bracket i guides the arm d by the eye k, and carries a spring l. A second spring m operates with the spring l to return the arm d to its normal position. The cord h is secured to the arm d and passes within the bifurcations of the arms g, f, and over the roller n to a pedal. Insulated iron clamps o are mounted on the music leaves, so that when the pedal is operated, the magnet seizes the front clamp and the leaf is turned over, the clamp being released from the magnet by the oblique surface of the resilient hook p.
