Abstract
135,997. Declerck, H. Jan. 7, 1919. Leaf-turners. - The radial arms g by which the leaves of the music, book, &c. are turned over are attached to pulleys f connected by cords o to suspended springs n. The springs n are suspended from a block m hinged at l and adjusted by the screw p and nut q to regulate the tension of the springs. The clips for the leaves, shown in Fig. 9, consist of jaws h, i pivoted at k and faced with rubber &c. i<1>, and are adjustable on the arms g. The escapement for releasing the arms in turn is shown in Fig. 7. When the pivoted block s is moved by the finger-piece z, or by a cord attached to a pedal, the front arm g is released from the tooth y, and the next arm is caught by the tooth x. When the block s is returned by its spring t, the arm in contact with the tooth x escapes from it and rests against the tooth y ready for release in turn.
