Abstract

11,138. Day, C., Windeler, G. E., and Grant, P. July 31. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-The invention is for controlling the pressure of the injection air by means of devices of the kind described in Specification 2447/15, which control the inlet of the air-compressor by means of two members controlled respectively by the pressure in the compressor and the load of the engine. The air supply passes through ports 2, 3 in cylindrical or other valves a, b, which are mounted in a casing c connected to, or forming part of, the compressor and provided with a port 4 in communication with the inlet. The valve a is connected to the governor g. The valve b is provided with a spring- influenced piston e working in a cylinder f connected to the compressor by a pipe h. The valve a may be connected to the governor as shown in Fig. 1 of the above-mentioned Specification, and the piston e may be replaced by a diaphragm or Bourdon tube &c.
