Projectile fuses.-Relates to mechanical timefuses of the kind in which the release of the ignition device is effected when a member such as an arm 4 passes through an opening 2 in an adjustable rotary locking-piece 1. According to the invention, a covering-piece 5 is provided above or below the opening 2 in the locking-ring 1 to prevent the releasing-arm 4 from slipping through the opening until the ring has rotated through a certain minimum distance, so that detonation cannot occur until the shell is at a certain distance from the gun.
