Projectiles; projectile fuses.-Relates to bombs and the like containing an illuminating, smokeproducing, or incendiary charge, and consists in interposing between the main charge E and a fusesochet C, adapted to be blown out by the explosion of a small charge F of black powder or the like, a loose cover or diaphragm D, the object of the invention being to protect the main charge from the force of the explosion which blows out the fuse-socket. The socket may be held in place by an interrupted screw-thread c. The diaphragm D is free to fall or to be driven out on ignition of the charge E through a hole d'.
