Valve-gear.-A rotary valve for a four-strokecycle engine is driven at a variable speed by a driving-wheel a having two or four arms to engage and drive a four-armed wheel b on the valve spindle, according to whether the wheels themselves give the 2:1 ratio required, or whether this ratio is effected between the crank and the driving-wheel.
