Abstract

303. Dellwik - Fleischer Wassergas Ges. March 12, 1913, [Convention date]. Producers.-In a water-gas generator of the type described in Specification 29,863/96, air is blown in at the middle of the fuel column during the ' run,' in sufficient quantity to effect the distillation of the fresh fuel by combustion of part of the water gas. During the ' blow,' air is admitted through a pipe d, and the combustion products escape from the base of the producer into the flue g. During the ' run,' steam is supplied by a pipe e at the bottom of the producer, and air by the tuyeres f, the water gas passing through the pipe d to a receiver c. For the generation of ammonia. steam may be introduced through the tuyeres f together with the air.
