Fan-lights; casements; window frames; glazing. -Fan-lights, casements, &c. are formed of profile irons a having channels l in which are mounted antifriction rollers &c. m for preventing the windows from jamming in the frame. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 1, the putty holding the glass in the sashes is protected by bars b screwed to the irons a and having a flange b<1>, which covers the joint between the sashes and the window frame. The bottom rails of the fan-lights and casements are formed-with a weather hoard h. In the modification shown in Fig. 2, the irons a may be formed with an integral or detachable flange b, and the glass is held by fillets of wood i secured to the irons a.
