Abstract

Spray carburettors having an adjustable conical choke-tube with lateral passages are provided with an adjustable bush for varying the mixture outlet relatively to the area around the jet. The bush 8 surrounds the choketube 2, and is secured after adjustment by a setscrew 9. The choke-tube has an extension 5, which slides over the nozzle 11 provided with one or more orifices 12, 13. Normally, only the lower orifice 13 and the uppermost of the lateral passages 4 are in operation. The lateral fuel orifices 12, 13 may be replaced by an orifice in the top of the nozzle.
