Abstract

2616. Soc. du Carburateur Zenith. May 3,1913, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors.-In carburettors wherein an auxiliary nozzle, supplied from a well fed through a calibrated orifice, enters the induction pipe adjacent the edge of the throttle, the auxiliary nozzle is constructed as shown in Fig. 3. The well 4 is fed through the calibrated orifice 5, and its upper end is closed by a screwed plug 13. Another screwed plug 14 carries a chamber 20 and an adjustable tube 16, the lower end of which is coned to form an air passage around the nozzle 22, the extension 23 of which reaches nearly to the bottom of the well. Atmospheric air enters by the passages 25, 24, and the mixture is conducted through passages 18, 19, 11, 10 to the edge of the throttle 8. The induction tube is horizontal, and the air inlet is baffled. Specification 7736/07 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) describes also a modified form of nozzle shown in Fig. 4 (Cancelled), wherein air enters through (orifices 25, 26. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
