Abstract

2617. Soc. du Carburateur Zenith. July 19, 1913, [Convention date]. Spray carburettors.-A rich mixture is formed and is conveyed by a small pipe passing through the induction pipe, to a point adjacent the cylinder admission valve, where it is mixed with the main supply of air. The float chamber b is co-axial with the main nozzle a and communicates with a chamber p which supplies the nozzle a, and a chamber d through a calibrated orifice c. The chamber d is open to the atmosphere at m, and the rich mixture formed therein passes up the tube f, mixes with fuel from the nozzle a, and then passes through ports o to the tube g in the induction pipe l. The air supply to this pipe is controlled by a valve i, on the spindle of which is a valve n which controls the ports o. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) describes also and shows diagrammatically various arrangements of the small tube g. In two of these arrangements, the tube enters the induction pipe on the air-inlet side of the valve i. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
