Clutches, friction; securing clutch parts on shafts; universal joints.-The driven member of a friction clutch is connected to the driven shaft 2 solely by springs 3, and is operated by a rod 6 passing axially through the driven shaft. The points of attachment 4 of the springs to the clutch member may be adjusted so as to alter the angle made by the springs with the shaft, and so adjust the main clutch spring 7.
