Abstract

6525. Soc. Anon des Automobiles Delaunay-Belleville. March 15. [Addition to 1072/11.] Speed - varying mechanism. - The directdrive mechanism comprises a sliding sleeve D shown in Fig. 2 mounted on the squared end of the driving-shaft A and having two toothed faces thereon and adapted to be moved along the said shaft so as to be brought into engagement either with a toothed member B on the driven shaft or with a toothed member on a sleeve E surrounding the driving-shaft, which sleeve carries the operating - mechanism for the pumps.
