Speed-varying mechanism. - A direct-drive device for hydraulic clutches is modified by mounting two sliding clutch sleeves on the driving and driven shafts, the sleeves being capable of engagement either with two sleeves rigidly connected with the driving and driven systems of pumps or with one and the same sleeve located between the two shafts and producing direct drive. The driving-shaft A and the driven shaft C have squared ends on which are arranged sliding dog clutches 11, 14. On the shafts are also arranged sleeves E, E<1> secured to the hydraulic gear. By the movement of the lever 18, which is connected to the sleeves 11, 14 by rods 23, 24, 21, 22, the shafts A, C are connected either to the sleeves E, E<1> and thus to the hydraulic gear, or to the central and common clutch member 26, which gives the direct drive.
