Smoke, consuming.-A chamber q, arranged close to the chamber d of the parent invention and fitted with similar discharge nozzles h<1> directed towards the baffle i, is connected by pipes n to a smoke-collecting box r' at the back end of the boiler and smoke &c. is drawn from the side flues through pipes p<1> into the box r<1> and thence delivered to the chamber q by means of a steam induction device l<1>. The chamber d. instead of receiving smoke &c. from the side flues, receives air direct from the atmosphere by the pipes h fitted with steam jets.
