Combustion products, returning to furnaces. -Combustion products are returned to the furnace from the bottom or side flues through pipes c entering the combustion chamber, and are impelled by steam jets d<1> within them. Air is admitted through an opening in the pipe having a hit- and-miss valve g, and the quantities of steam and combustion products may also be regulated.
