[Addition to 14,544/11.] Fire-bridges.-The fire-bridge described in the parent Specification is modified by dividing the box f into upper and lower compartments by a blank plate f<1>, the products of combustion being drawn by injectors g through slots f<2> into the upper compartment and through the long legs h<1> of pipes h, and being then discharged below the plate f<1> into the lower compartment through the short legs h<2> of the pipe h. The gases pass from the lower compartment through slots f<3> into the flue at the back of the bridge.
