Abstract
5540. Junghans, A. March 6, 1912, [Convention date]. Balances and balance springs; escapements.-Con - sists in means for centrifugally actuating t h e timing- mechanism of pro. jectile fuses. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) also describes an escapement comprising an oscillating weighted arm u carrying two pallets u<1>, u<2> shaped as shown. The arm is controlled by a spring v guided between adjustable pins v<1>, and fixed by a tapered pin v<0> which has considerable length to compensate for the weight of the spring v. The escapement is provided with a centrifugal starting-device set in operation on the movement of the shell. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
