Abstract

3302. Winder, B. W., and Burgan, W. Feb. 8. Accumulators.-An hydraulic accumulator comprises a movable ram cylinder A, Fig. 1, carrying a cross-head B to which are attached ropes C secured to small pulleys D mounted on the shafts F. Secured to the pulleys D are larger pulleys E carrying ropes C<2> from which weights J are suspended. Racks carried by the cross-head engaging pinions connected with the pulleys E may be used in place of the ropes C and pulleys D.
