20,994. Loncaster, J. W., and Fleming, W. J. Sept. 17. Trawling-gear.-A device for taking the connexion between the balch line and the groundrope of a trawl-net consists of a metal tube A with flanged ends loosely mounted on the ground-rope, a strap &c. B loosely encircling the tube to which the chain or rope from the balch is joined, and ribs &c. a<2> a<3>, allowing limited longitudinal movement of the strap on the tube. A ferrule may be placed between the ribs to take the wear of the strap. The metal tube A may be made in two parts, which may be joined by lugs and bolts.
